This is our spam / virus filter update for customers on the mx1 / mx2.tnpw.net filtering cluster. The information is brought to you by our vendor, SpamExperts.

 What’s new this week:

We apply a lot of different in-house developed technologies to protect the Local Cloud servers against external attacks. To protect against high load, some of these systems would trigger directly when the email connection was made and before the “RCPT TO” part of the email conversation. Therefore we were unable to log such connection as part of the log search, as we would not know the recipient. We’ve build a much more advanced system over the last months, which still ensures protection against such external attacks whilst at the same time we now only reject the connection after the “RCPT TO” part of the conversation so the connection will always show up in the logging data of the domain. This will help in troubleshooting any delivery issues, as your users can directly lookup the information themselves.
